This is a new type of product made primarily from high-quality polyethylene resin, with the addition of necessary antioxidants and UV absorbers, and produced through extrusion processing. Its working pressure ranges from 1.0 MPa to 1.6 MPa and it can be used in ground-source heat pump systems.

Principle of Use

PE pipes specifically designed for ground-source heat pumps feature high tensile strength, greater pressure-bearing capacity than conventional PE water supply pipes, minimal thermal expansion under stress, excellent resistance to environmental stress cracking, good creep resistance, and superior toughness and flexibility. They exhibit strong adaptability to uneven foundations and displacement, and can withstand harsh environmental conditions such as earthquakes and typhoons. Special additives incorporated into the raw materials endow these pipes with enhanced weather resistance—including resistance to ultraviolet radiation—and long-term thermal stability compared to standard PE water supply pipes. These pipes also demonstrate strong corrosion resistance, eliminating the need for additional anti-corrosion treatments when conveying corrosive media containing antifreeze agents, and boast an exceptionally long service life. Their inner walls are smooth, resulting in low flow resistance and high hydraulic efficiency, which helps reduce construction costs. They offer excellent wear resistance and are highly resistant to abrasion. The thermal conductivity of these PE pipes dedicated to ground-source heat pumps is 0.41 W/m·K, ensuring that winter construction is not adversely affected. Electrofusion (or hot-melt) connections are convenient and reliable, making installation and maintenance straightforward (without interrupting water supply during the process). When used in conjunction with ground-source heat pumps, this system harnesses shallow geothermal resources—typically found within 400 meters below the Earth's surface—as a source of cold and heat for energy conversion, forming a heating and air-conditioning system. The shallow geothermal resources near the Earth’s surface, often referred to as "geothermal energy," encompass the low-temperature thermal energy stored in soil, groundwater, rivers, and lakes, which have absorbed solar and geothermal energy. This form of energy is considered a clean and renewable energy source.
