Do you know how to store and maintain PE pipes?
We all know that in life, no matter what product it is, we must remember to maintain and care for it regularly—only then can we extend its service life. Of course, PE pipes are no exception. PE pipes are widely used construction materials, but they also have a limited service life. So how should we properly maintain them? 1. First, PE pipes should be stacked separately according to their different specifications. Pipes with a nominal diameter of DN25 or less can be bundled or coiled; the length of each bundle should be consistent, and the weight of each bundle should preferably not exceed 50 kg. Furthermore, it is recommended that the storage period between production and use does not exceed one year. During transportation, soft straw or foam can be placed on forklifts to prevent or reduce damage during handling.
2. PE pipes should be stacked horizontally on a level support pad. The width of the support pad should not be less than 75 mm, and the spacing between pads should not exceed 1 m to 1.5 m. The overhang at each end of the pipe should ideally not exceed 0.5 m. The stacking height of the pipes should not exceed 1.5 m. Pipe fittings should be stacked layer by layer, and excessive stacking is not recommended.

First: 1. Pay attention to preventing blockages. Drainage and sewage pipes often become clogged, and one of the common causes is that foreign objects get stuck in certain sections of the pipe. A clogged pipe not only disrupts our daily life but also leads to excessive local pressure, shortening the pipe’s lifespan. To avoid blockages, we can install a floor drain at the outlet of the drainage and sewage pipe to prevent large-sized foreign objects from entering the pipe.
2. Additionally, to prevent PE pipe materials For long-term exposure to intense sunlight or extremely cold temperatures, avoid installing exposed water pipes as much as possible.
