I. Toilet Roof Renovation Plan

1. The toilet’s surrounding wall must be constructed by the homeowner to a height of 2 meters or more. On top of this wall, a subsidy is available for constructing a standard roof measuring 4 square meters (using asbestos tiles). If the wall fails to meet the required height, no subsidy will be provided! To apply for the subsidy, applicants must submit photographic evidence (taken by the homeowner himself/herself at the toilet site, with the homeowner’s ID card visible), along with paper documents (signed and thumbprinted by the homeowner, including contact information). The application must be approved with the official seal of the competent authority before any renovation work can proceed.

2. The labor cost for constructing the toilet roof is 60 yuan per square meter (including materials and installation). For an area of 4 square meters, the cost is 240 yuan (including materials and installation). If the homeowner wishes to expand the structure, charges will be applied according to this standard!

II. Material Supply, Installation, and Construction Plan (Unit prices of materials and construction rates are attached)

1. The material supplier shall assign technical installation personnel to provide on-site guidance and training, track any issues arising during the installation and construction process, and ensure that the installation and construction are carried out in compliance with relevant standards.

2. The installation and construction shall be carried out in four parts;

1. The household head shall personally collect the complete set of toilet renovation materials and prepare them at home. They should also procure approximately 100 red bricks, 15 kg of cement, and 60 kg of sand. Before the construction crew begins work, they must coordinate with the household head to determine the exact locations for the septic tank, the orientation of the squatting toilet, and the placement of the flush toilet. After the household head signs the agreement and takes photos as evidence of the renovation’s commencement, the crew can proceed with excavating the septic tank pit, drilling through-wall openings, and digging the flush toilet pit.

2. For material assembly, assembly technicians will provide on-site guidance to ensure standardized construction practices.

3. After assembly, backfilling must also be guided by technical personnel. The backfilling process should be tailored to the specific soil conditions and moisture levels at the time of backfilling. Generally, after each third of the backfill is completed, the soil should be lightly moistened with water to prevent soil loosening during heavy rains in the rainy season, which could damage the product. Additionally, during backfilling, ensure that there are no hard objects such as bricks or other debris in the soil. The backfilling procedure for toilet flushers remains the same. When installing squat toilets and constructing the squatting platform, pay special attention to the proper connection between the odor trap and the toilet bowl, ensuring that prolonged soil compaction does not cause the odor trap to detach or damage the waste pipe. During the installation process, it is also essential to keep photographic records.

4. After installation and construction are completed, provide the homeowner with a leaflet outlining usage precautions and affix it inside the toilet. Include the maintenance contact information, then have the homeowner sign and stamp their handprint. Also, capture visual documentation. Construction is now complete!

III. Post-Maintenance Handling

1. The company has established a dedicated restroom renovation and maintenance department, and each township has set up a maintenance team. These teams are available 24 hours a day to handle repairs, septic tank pumping, and other maintenance issues, thereby preventing difficulties in using restrooms and situations where people have to rely on borrowed facilities.

2. As our company is a local enterprise, we commit to using exclusively high-quality, specialized materials. Under normal circumstances, within three years, the company will provide free maintenance services, including repairs and replacement of parts (excluding damage caused by human factors and exceptional circumstances).

3. After delivering the fecal sludge collection vehicles, our company will be responsible for collecting and properly handling the subsequent liquid fecal waste. We’ll deliver it free of charge for use in forestry and fruit cultivation, greenhouse farming, and other applications. During periods when fertilizers are not in use, our company will independently dry and store the waste for use next year! This ensures harmless treatment of the liquid fecal waste and promotes resource reuse!
